The Frank P. Langley Company has an immediate opening for a service technician with the ability to perform factory authorized start up, repairs, and warranty work on mechanical equipment.
Job Title: Service Technician
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide mechanical service, customer service and support during site visits
- Manage all on site start-up and repair services
- Diagnose equipment and system problems and determine solutions
- Communicate and cooperate with sales team and internal staff
- Follow all company safety procedures
- Operate and maintain company vehicles in a safe manner
- Build positive relationships with both internal and external customers
- Provide timely and detailed service reports
- Maintain company tools and vehicles including: routine maintenance, cleanliness, and inventory
Requirements:
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage your time and work both independently and with co-workers
- Possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License
- Ability to diagnose systems and equipment problems and recommend solutions/ provide corrective action
- Ability to Read and understand wiring diagrams and equipment technical data
- Ability to use electrical meters, laser alignment tools, and analyzers
- Knowledge of boilers, pumps, VFD’s fire pumps, steam heating a plus
- Complete repairs in a safe timely and efficient manner
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to accurately and timely complete all required paper work
- Limited travel required
